NPC Standings Alignment Strategy

Not all corporations or factions are created equal, and you can’t appease them all. In the course of doing missions or killing NPCs, standings will begin to shift. By establishing an NPC standings alignment strategy, you will be able to optimize your efforts to maximize accessibility, minimize service costs, and obtain access to relatively exclusive products (such as faction BPCs) and services (ie. datacore farming from R&D agents).

Faction Considerations

    • Access to R&D Agents (restricted to the four Empires, Thukker Trive, Khanid Kingdon, and Ammatar Mandate)
    • Area of Operations (if in or near Faction territory)
      • Safe passage by faction forces
      • Low service costs
      • Better mission rewards
    • LP Rewards (universal, cross-faction, and faction-exclusive)

Common NPC Standing Alignments

One, Two, and Four Empire Alignment

Advantages:

  • Safe passage by empire militias
  • Access to massive player base
  • Access to massive mission agent pool
  • Access to the largest and most active tradehubs of New Eden
  • Access to Hisec and Lowsec systems
  • Ability to farm datacores from the best R&D corps
  • Easy to join Factional Warfare when aligned with one or two (allied) empires

Disadvantages:

  • In order to maintain standings with all four empires, you must decline all missions where one of the empires is the primary enemy
  • Very time consuming to raise faction standings across multiple empires high enough for efficient datacore farming
